Confirmation 2022 - 2023 Program

Confirmation in our parish is celebrated in the spring of 9th grade, although any teen who has reached that age and received the other Sacraments of Initiation is welcome to prepare with us to celebrate this sacrament. Teen must have attended a religious education program in a Catholic school or a parish program for the year immediatetly prior to registration. 

Registration is closed for this year's program. Please check back in June 2023 for the next program.

Congratulations!

You have been chosen by a young person for a very special role. As you embark on this year together, you will discover an adventure in spiritual life. As a Confirmation sponsor, you have accepted a responsibility that is an honor in the Catholic Church. Throughout this year, you will guide your Confirmation candidate through the preparation process for the sacrament. You will teach, inspire, and lead the young person to become a true witness and disciple of Jesus Christ. Your special role as Confirmation sponsor does not end at Confirmation; rather you will continue to guide the candidate as they continue to grow in the Church.

Jesus taught us that we should care for others. Many service opportunities fulfill one of the Corporal Works of Mercy, which are based on Jesus’ teachings.  Others help us build our Church community.

Prayer was the foundation of Jesus' life; he often left the crowds to have some quiet time with the Father and even taught his disciples the "Our Father" prayer. During the Confirmation process, we are asking each student to try one new, communal form of prayer.

The Confirmation retreat is scheduled for March 11, 2023 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at St. Augustine Campus. Sponsor must attend with the candidate. 

The theme is having a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will conclude the retreat with mass at 5:00 pm
